Kumiodori Performance in August

    Kumiodori   "Ufugushiku Kujiri”"Manzai Tekiuchi"

Chochoku Tasato, a leading author of Kumiodori, introduced new elements not found in the works of Chokun Tamagusuku, which had a great influence on later Kumiodori.
The masterpiece "Ufugushiku Kujiri" depicts the deep affection of a mother who desperately begs for the life of her child, who is about to become a victim of hostile action, and sheds light on the darkness of the hostile action.
The classic work of a revenge story, "Manzai Tekiuchi," depicts two brothers who avenge their father's death by disguising themselves as traveling entertainers.
In this performance, we will present "Ufugushiku Kujiri" and "Manzai Tekiuchi" from Tasato's works all at once.
On the 250th anniversary of his death, we hope you will fully enjoy the world of kumiodori as depicted by Tasato.
