・New Noh"Okinawa Zangetuki"
This work is a new Noh play depicting the ground battle in Okinawa. Through the experiences of a woman who survived the fierce battle, it tells the story of Okinawa and prays for a world without war.
<Synopsis>
On the fifteenth night of the month of Qingming Festival, Seishun, a potter from Tsuboya, brings his son Seiryu to Maeda Forest. Seiryu has been having bad dreams lately and cries out every night, wanting to see his great-grandmother. Led by a village girl singing “Tsuki no Kaisha,” they reach the Onba, a divine being, at the sacred site deep in the forest. Through Onba's spiritual invocation, the spirit of Kamado, the grandmother, is summoned. Kamado, who had lost her eldest son and great-grandson in the war, mistakenly confuses them and weeps. The tragedy of the war, which Kamado had never spoken of in her lifetime, is finally revealed...
