One day in early summer, while enjoying the forest with his daughter Machiyu, the Great Lord Butterfly accidentally caught him in his web, and all hell broke loose.
This encounter changes the destiny of Makattu and Machiyu...

Sakuta-no-shii, born in Nakijin Village, works on the distant island of Okinoerabu in place of his late father.
Sakuta-no-shii is happy to have a child with Maduru, a resident of Okinoerabu Island, but his mother, whom he left behind in Nakijin Village, is ill.
At Maduru suggestion, Sakuta-no-shii decides to return to his hometown.
When he leaves, she hands Sakuta-no-shii a handkerchief that she had dyed with all her heart and vows to reunite with her.
Meanwhile, war breaks out between Ryukyu and Satsuma,and thev two are separated from each other…
